  • Each lesson consists of a pre-recording, with the activation of subtitles in Portuguese and English, volume adjustment and the presentation and summary of the lesson.

    In fact, it's advantageous because you can organize your schedule and decide when it's best to take this course. 

    What's more, you won't have the embarrassment of being in a group class.

  • I believe this course is ideal for students of any level, from A1 to C1/C2.

    If you fully understand what I say in my videos, this course is for you.

    If your level of Portuguese is very basic, you can activate the English subtitles.

  • The entire course is recorded in Portuguese and some few parts in English.

    You can activate subtitles in Portuguese or English whenever you want. If you don’t need subtitles, you can turn them off.

    Sometimes I also specify certain English words when they are less common.

    But take it easy! The pace is slow and suitable for students of Portuguese as a foreign language. 

  • Yes. This course includes a battery of practical exercises, some in quiz format and others interactive, guided by me, as if we were in the classroom together. 

    You'll also find exercises in audio format.

  • Sure. You can download PDF slides, but you can't download the recorded lessons (video). You need an internet connection to take this course, but you can download the materials and work offline.

I'm Filipe, your Portuguese teacher

I'm 30, from Aveiro, but I've been living in Lisbon for a few years. I'm a quiet guy with a passion for languages, literature, travel and gastronomy. I also do some cool cooking, so they say. 

I studied at two Portuguese universities and completed my Masters in Portuguese Teaching in 2017. 

I've been working with students from different countries for about 8 years and I've almost lost count of how many I've helped. I've also worked in a few schools in Lisbon, with both native and foreign students.
